This week was one for the books for sure. Fun Fact: missionaries don't know much about what's going on in the outside world. On Thursday we got a call to stay in our house for some mischievous business happening here in Puebla. But.. plot twist we had the baptism of Lucia that next day. As Hermana Cervantes and I were trying to figure out what was going to happen, I suddenly felt a familiar peace that everything was going to be alright.
We received permission from our president to go ahead with the baptism. With a lot of help from the members in the ward, Lucia had the baptism she's been waiting for for 76 years. It was super special to see her go into the font and say "Finally Lord I'm with you always".
Lucia has been a particularly special example to me because she has always had the faith to keep pressing forward. She was truly ready for her baptism and knew it was a great change in her life. It was nice to witness the power of the Lord; how, in the world that we live in, which is different and a little mischievous, the Lord still has all power and will do His work here on the earth.
Love you all and I hope you have a great week
Hermana Herrera
